Also called London Euston and located in Central London, Euston station is a major railway terminus and an underground station. Today considered an important London Hub, London Euston has had several lives! Originally built in 1837, it then went through some major transformations. Its iconic Doric Arch was erected in 1838. In 1849, Euston’s ‘Great Hall’ opened. It acted as Euston’s main concourse and waiting area. Where have these architectural landmarks gone? One might ask. In the 1960s, when Euston was considered no longer fit to handle railway traffic, the Victorian Style building was completely demolished. In its current version, the station was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II in 1968. Later on in the 1970s, a bus station was added to the front of the Station. Euston Station is also known for one the coolest train journeys in England: the Caledonian Sleeper. This overnight service is a chance to sleep on a train departing from London and wake up in the Scottish Highlands!

From Euston station, you’ll find trains to many major cities such as Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool and so on. London Euston is conveniently located close to King’s Cross station, Regent’s Park, Somers Town, and Bloomsbury.
