Where to Stay

Finding the perfect accommodation in Paris is essential for an unforgettable stay. Paris is a huge city, and while you might think you need an Eiffel Tower view to get the most out of your stay, you’d be surprised to know that's not the case. Here are some neighborhoods that will give you the Parisian experience.

Montmartre

Stay in Montmartre's artistic and romantic ambiance by staying in this picturesque neighborhood. Home to the iconic Sacré-Cœur Basilica, Montmartre offers the feeling of a small French village in Paris. This is where many artists held residences back in the day, from Henri Matisse to Toulouse-Lautrec.

The area is currently pretty touristy but doesn’t distract from its charm. There are plenty of hostels and hotels in the area, but get the most by staying in a local Airbnb. This area is located in the 18th arrondissement, meaning it’s a bit north of the city's center, but fear not - it only takes about 25 minutes to get to the Louvre by metro!

Le Marais

If you want a fun and energetic vibe, you will want to stay in Le Marais. Situated in the 4th arrondissement, Le Marais is centrally located. The atmosphere here is vivacious, and there’s always something to do, from bars to small artisan shops for browsing.

This neighborhood is also the heart of the LGBTQIA+ community here in Paris. The area itself is on the more expensive side, so keep that in mind when you plan your trip.

South Pigalle

SO-PO, or South Pigalle, located in the 9th arrondissement, can be described as an area with hipster culture and bohemian charm. Filled with fusion restaurants and dive bars, the neighborhood has a unique element. The area is near attractions like Galeries Lafayette and the Moulin Rouge on foot.

When you begin exploring the area, you’ll notice its walls adorned with colorful street art and its establishments exuding a more creative vibe. You can find hotels and Airbnbs, but we suggest looking into some of the boutique hotels in the area. Discover many hidden gems if you decide to stay here!

Saint Germain des Prés

Located in the 6th arrondissement, Saint-Germain-des-Prés is the place for lovers of the city's rich history. This area is home to the main catalysts of the 20th-century cultural movements that occurred.

Here, you can find the cafes that Hemingway and Fitzgerald frequented. If you're craving the traditional French experience of sitting on a terrace and people-watching, this is the place for you. Remember to pack a book!

Where to Play

As you explore the city, indulge in some of the iconic experiences!

Disneyland

Originally called Eurodisney, a visit to Disneyland Paris is a must-do this summer. Home to two amusement parks, Disneyland Paris is sure to deliver a memorable adventure. Check out the new Avengers campus in Disney Studios Park with its state-of-the-art ride technology.

Disneyland Paris is one of the most beautiful parks, with its attention to detail and intricate castle. It takes about an hour to get to the park but is worth checking out during your stay in Paris if you’re looking for a day trip.

Location: Chessy (Seine-et-Marne)

How to get there: Take the RER A towards Marne-La-Vallée Chessy to the end of the line, and you’ve arrived!

Sacré-Cœur

The Sacré-Cœur Basilica is a stunning masterpiece that sits on top of Montmartre. The church is stunning and worth checking out, especially after hiking up (there’s a funicular, don’t worry). While you’re visiting, take time to sit on the steps and admire the views of the city.

You’ll find people having picnics, sipping on some wine, hanging out, and having a good time. If you forgot to pack beverages, you’ll probably find street vendors selling cold Heineken’s, but we highly recommend bringing your own! The best time to visit is during a sunrise or sunset- and don’t wear pants you care about if you intend on staying long.

Location: Montmartre 18eme

How to get there: Take line B and get off at Anvers- from there, you can follow the signage
