Prague Airport, commonly known as Václav Havel airport, connects Prague to over 100 destinations worldwide and serves 17 million passengers annually. Opened in 1937, the airport was formerly called Prague Ruzyně international airport. Czechia’s main airport was renamed in 2012 to honor Václav Havel, the first president of the Czech Republic following the Velvet Revolution.
