Nancy Luggage Storage Guide 2026
Place Stanislas, the crown jewel of Nancy, is a breathtaking 18th-century square that exudes elegance and history. Place Stanislas was originally built to honor Louis XV and was later renamed after Stanislas, the deposed King of Poland who became Duke of Lorraine. Designed by architect Emmanuel Héré and named after King Stanislas Leszczyński, this UNESCO-listed site is surrounded by ornate gates, grand fountains, and opulent buildings. By day, it’s a hub filled with locals and tourists enjoying the cafés and open space, and by night, it transforms into a dazzling spectacle with its illuminated facades. The golden gates designed by Jean Lamour add an extra touch of grandeur, making every visit feel like stepping into a royal masterpiece. Throughout the year, the square hosts events, from Christmas markets to summer light shows. If you're looking to learn more about Place Stanislas without the burden of baggage, use Nannybag to store your luggage.
Parc de la Pépinière, affectionately known as "La Pep" by locals, is a lush green oasis in the heart of Nancy, perfect for relaxation and outdoor activities. Originally a royal nursery for growing trees in the 18th century, the park now spans over 21 hectares, offering vast lawns, beautiful flowerbeds, and shady tree-lined paths. The park is home to an old-fashioned carousel that has been delighting children for generations, making it a nostalgic gem in Nancy! The park also features a small zoo where you can spot deer, peacocks, and goats, adding a charming touch to your visit. Art lovers will appreciate the scattered sculptures, including works by Rodin and Bartholdi. If you're in the mood for a workout, you’ll find jogging trails and sports courts to keep you active. It’s an ideal escape from the city's bustle, where you can get lost in the peaceful Parc de la Pépinère and soak in the natural beauty of Lorraine after dropping your bags off at your nearest Nannybag.
Nancy is a food lover's dream, offering a mix of classic Lorraine specialties and modern French cuisine. Enjoy the best restaurants in Nancy when you're craving a gourmet dining experience or a cozy bistro meal, the city's restaurants deliver unforgettable flavors. Try the Quiche Lorraine, a dish that originated in this region, or savor the rich flavors of bouchées à la reine, a delicious puff pastry filled with creamy chicken and mushrooms. Nancy is known for its macarons, but unlike their colorful Parisian counterparts, the traditional Nancy macaron is golden and almond-based, dating back to the 18th century.
