How to enjoy Málaga luggage-free
Málaga Luggage Storage Guide 2026
Málaga’s coastline is dotted with stunning beaches, perfect for soaking up the Mediterranean sun. La Malagueta, just a short walk from the city center, is one of the most popular spots, offering golden sands, lively beach bars (known as chiringuitos), and crystal-clear waters. For a more relaxed vibe, head to Playa de Pedregalejo, where you can savor fresh seafood right on the shore. Pedregalejo’s beachfront is famous for its traditional sardine skewers, grilled over open fires in little boats called espeteros. Want to hit up Málaga's most beautiful beaches without worrying about your bags? Nannybag has you covered with nearby luggage storage, so you can enjoy the sand and sea, stress-free.
Perched high above Málaga, the Gibralfaro Castle offers some of the best panoramic views of the city, the bustling port, and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. Built in the 14th century to defend the nearby Alcazaba, it’s named after the Arabic term Jabal-Faruk, meaning “Rock of Light.” Gibralfaro’s strategic location was so effective that it famously withstood a siege by Catholic monarchs for over three months during the Reconquista! Walking along its ancient ramparts is like stepping back in time. To make the most of your time as you visit the iconic Gibralfaro Castle, drop your bags at a Nannybag location nearby—you’ll have both hands free to snap incredible photos of Málaga’s skyline!
Another spot in Malaga that is also worth a visit: the Alcazaba. It's an impressive Moorish fortress-palace that dates back to the 11th century. This architectural gem, with its beautiful courtyards, lush gardens, and intricate Islamic designs, was once the seat of Muslim rulers. The Alcazaba is connected to the Roman Theatre at its base, blending two fascinating eras of Málaga’s history in one spot. The fortress’s strategic hilltop position offers stunning views of the city, especially at sunset. Don’t let heavy bags slow down your adventure—Nannybag offers convenient storage options nearby, so you can explore Málaga’s rich history hands-free.
